Connection

Sometimes we want to isolate ourselves when we feel at our worst. If you're like me and have ADHD we can be very good at isolating ourselves and avoiding eye contact and feeling afraid to make connections with others. But connection is shown to be so good for our sense of self. As we grow, we learn how to choose friendships that allow us to thrive. Good friends are the people we need to check in with regularly, and the people we need to pull up the hills and help pull up the hills.
