Treat yourself like a beloved friend

This is a hard one. But like all worthwhile relationships, it takes time and hard work. We all have a tendency to be hard on ourselves, and many of us would never treat anyone the way we treat ourselves. For those of us who have had undiagnosed ADHD or an issue with anxiety, problems with confidence and lack of self-efficacy can be common. These thoughts about ourselves can often have been there since childhood and we can develop strong "inner critics". Reeducating yourself about yourself means changing the way you do self-talk and your attitude about yourself. Give yourself a break! If you have made it this far and had ADHD or anxiety you are a champion! Protect yourself from toxic relationships also. If you have toxic people who are part of your family, develop healthy boundaries. If you don't honour yourself and protect yourself as a beloved friend, others may take advantage of you. Take time to develop space for these Mind Gems. They really can help you to have a happy and fulfilling life.
